DumpIt Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

1. Introduction

DumpIt (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a journaling app that lets you write and save your thoughts. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how it is stored and protected.

2. Data Collection

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive information such as:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Profile picture
  • Account identifier and authentication information

2.2 Journal Data

When you use DumpIt, we collect and store:

  • Journal entry text
  • Entry dates and timestamps
  • App preferences, such as theme and reminder settings

Journal entries are stored locally on your device and synchronized with Supabase when cloud synchronization is available.

2.3 Website Forms

If you use our website, we may collect:

  • iOS waitlist: Your email address and submission timestamp.
  • Account deletion: Your account email address, any optional reason you provide, and request status and timestamps.

We use this information to manage the waitlist, communicate about availability, and process account-deletion requests.

3. Data Storage and Protection

DumpIt uses Supabase for authentication and cloud storage. We use database access controls to help protect your information.

Journal entries are not end-to-end encrypted. Cloud-stored journal content is not encrypted by DumpIt in a way that prevents the service provider from accessing it.

We do not sell your personal information. DumpIt does not currently use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, or AI services to process your journal entries.

4. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy.

You can request account deletion through the form on our website. We will verify your request through your registered email address and aim to complete deletion within three calendar days after verification.

Account deletion is intended to remove your authentication account and associated cloud journal records. Information in provider-managed backups or technical records may persist temporarily. Local data stored on your devices may also remain until you remove it.
